After several years of development with power and optical fibre partners, Jubatus has begun the rollout of new heavy duty integrated distributed temperature sensing (DTS) tubes, in high voltage power cables.
The DTS fibre tubes are an armoured stainless steel construction and provide a more robust alternative to standard stainless steel or plastic integrated tubes. The new armoured tubes offer greater protection in harsh, corrosive and damp environments whilst maintaining flexibility and eliminating kinks.
Armoured stainless steel tubes can be provided with up to 12 standard or high temperature (150˚C) fibres.
