Managing long-term supply agreements

Currently holds a five-year supply contract with Endeavour Energy for the supply of 33kV, 66kV and 132kV XLPE cables. Supply includes requirements by contractors in the contestable market.

Held a five-year frame agreement with ElectraNet – SA, supplied over 2000 kms of AFL OPGW from the USA.

Recently completed five-year supply contracts with Ausgrid and Essential Energy for 33kV, 66kV and 132kV XLPE cables.

In the EHV XLPE (33kV – 132kV) class, Jubatus held the term contract with Ausgrid (NSW) for more than 10 years, a business worth in excess of $50 million.

Supplied over 2000 kms of OPGW as part of a three-year supply contract to TransGrid (NSW). Jubatus was also contracted to undertake the pre-installation testing of the OPGW before issuance to contractors.

Managing overseas suppliers

Jubatus has developed relationships with its overseas suppliers that has been sustained over a long period of time. It has done this by adding value to every element of the business development cycle and supply chain.

A key part of the Jubatus strategy is to leverage its knowledge of the domestic market (technical, commercial and logistics) and use this to qualify its suppliers to key customers.

Managing consortia to deliver turnkey projects

Jubatus works with some of the world’s largest cable manufacturers in the implementation of complex turnkey underground cable projects:

Jubatus led the consortium for EnergyAustralia’s East Lindfield to Artarmon project; a $35 million, 10.5km, 132kV dual circuit underground cable project. This project was completed on time and on budget. Taihan was the cable manufacturer for this project.

Jubatus partnered with Prysmian on the implementation of Ausgrid’s 132kV Lindfield and Engadine Cable Projects, valued in excess of AUD $55million.
