Brian Wright, Director
Brian has over 25 years’ global experience in the Telecommunications and Power Industries across the disciplines of engineering, manufacturing, marketing and implementation of major turn-key projects. He established the Fibre Optics Division at Pacific Dunlop (Olex Cables) in 1984 – the first commercial cable plant in Australia and a state of the art facility. Brian founded Jubatus in 1999 and has since undertaken projects for Leightons, PowerLink Qld, Ausgrid (NSW), Taihan (Korea) and ElectraNet (SA). Brian specialises in product applications, project development and market assessment.
Dr. Peter Hart, Technology Manager
Peter has over 25 years’ experience as an engineer extending from heavy current engineering and power quality investigations, to the suitability of mechanical designs, to SCADA. Peter has been principal Engineering Consultant on more than 100 projects spanning power quality, electrical safety, industrial power system designs, product development, mechanical designs and legal expert opinions. Peter specialises in integration of complex HV systems and Smart Grid technologies.

Tracey Vine
Tracey has an experienced and varied background in all commercial aspects of running a business. She has extensive experience in business management in industries as diverse as engineering, allied health and insurance. Tracey joined Jubatus in 2007 and is responsible for Bids and Proposals, Contract Administration and Finance.
John Hutchinson
John Hutchinson has accumulated over 30 years’ experience in a range of fibre optic/photonics disciplines, including cable design and fibre characterisation, design and deployment of high speed DWDM/coherent systems, a wide variety of optical sensing technologies, and OSP hardware for FTTx architectures. He has also developed and delivered technical training courses both locally and overseas, covering both general technology and product-specific subject matter. John is responsible for product management, systems design and project implementation for a growing range of diagnostic and optical sensor technologies at Jubatus, as well as delivery of technical training courses and ongoing maintenance support for completed projects.
Roman Piechota
Roman’s expertise is in cable ratings and other cable performance calculations and is currently developing a suite of software solutions for these calculations. Roman is focused on optimising circuit performance through the modelling of underground cable system design parameters and has carried out detailed HV Cable & Systems Design studies for a number of major HV cable projects. A Senior Systems Engineer – HV Projects team until 2012, Roman was involved in selection of HV accessories and project cost estimation and a key member of the Project Management Team involved from the early stages to the final completion of all major HV projects.
